Photography has been Penny Boyer’s life for the past 45 years. Initially studying architecture, she soon shifted her focus to photography, which became her professional calling. She began her career in Sydney, Australia, working and studying as a professional photographer. After four years, she moved to Canberra, where she spent 35 years as a photographic technical officer, photographic educator, and eventually Head of Department for Design Industries at the Canberra Institute of Technology. In 2000, she completed her Master’s in Visual Art (Photomedia) at the Australian National University and has exhibited her work widely. Always open to adventure, Penny has traveled extensively and lived in the United Kingdom, Malaysia, the United States, and is currently based in Helsinki, Finland.
This work is part of the Art Auction Exhibition at Belconnen Arts Centre, on display until 30 November. Successful bidders will be contacted after the auction with payment instructions.
