CAPO has been supporting Canberra and ACT regional artists since 1983 and seeks to foster the highest standards of excellence in the Arts through the offer of annual art awards and grants. The art forms included in these awards are music, film, performing arts, poetry and writing, as well as visual and applied arts.

Applications are open from 31 August 2026 and close midnight 20 September 2026. Winners will be announced on 14 November at Thor’s Hammer and will be presented with their awards by the awards sponsors.
