Celebrating 40 years.

Capital Arts Patrons Organisation

Capital Arts Patrons’ Organisation was formed in 1983 to foster and promote the arts in Canberra and the region.

It achieves this through an annual Capital Arts Patrons’ Organisation (CAPO) Fellowship funded by the proceeds of a yearly auction of donated artworks and business items. CAPO also accepts financial assistance for creatives from members of the business community in the form of grants, for which practitioners of various art forms - including but not limited to visual and performing arts, craft, photography and writing streams - can apply.

CAPO seeks to foster the highest standards of excellence in the arts. And by the Arts, we mean music, poetry, film, performing arts and writing as well as visual arts.

The 2023 grants round will open Thursday 10 August and close Sunday 24 September.
